The Integration Office of the University of Geneva manages various programmes and projects aimed at promoting the integration of refugees and migrants in higher education institutions in Geneva. It implements the Horizon académique programme, a preparatory pathway to higher education that enables people whose academic journey has been interrupted by exile to begin or resume university-level studies. It also carries out awareness-raising activities on the challenges of integrating refugees in higher education institutions, both at the national and cantonal levels. In collaboration with the Scholars at Risk network, the Integration Delegation also oversees the support mechanism for researchers at risk at UNIGE. It supports refugees[at]work, a Geneva Canton initiative aimed at raising awareness among private and public sector employers about recruiting refugees.

Attached to the Campus life division, the Integration Delegation makes its expertise available to the entire university community to promote the integration of migrants and refugees at UNIGE, in accordance with the principle of equal opportunity.

Attached to the Vice-Rector in charge of Campus life, Prof. Edouard Gentaz , the Integration office provides expertise for the entire university community with the aim of promoting the integration of refugees and migrants with similar needs at UNIGE, in line with the University’s equal opportunity goals.
